Program Investment

The automotive industry works with several national education organizations including the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE), the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF), SkillsUSA, the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) and others. FCA US LLC requires MOPAR® CAP programs to maintain NATEF certification. In addition, FCA US LLC investment in the public education system is substantial every year.

Automotive service program support begins in high school. Automotive Youth Educational Systems (AYES) is an industry-led initiative that is a partnership between automotive manufacturers, participating dealers and selected high school/tech prep colleges. AYES is designed to encourage young people to consider careers in the automotive service industry and prepare them for advanced post-secondary studies in automotive technology.

High School Support

Through dealership and college partners, AYES strives to enhance the public image of dealerships and dealership careers, build local partnerships between dealerships, quality high schools and foster positive working environments in dealerships.

High schools and vocational-technical colleges that are selected for AYES have Automotive Service Excellence (ASE)-certified automotive programs through NATEF and have active chapters of SkillsUSA.

To be eligible for Chrysler, Jeep®, Dodge, Ram, SRT® and FIAT® vehicle and component donations to enhance their automotive programs, colleges must be NATEF-certified.

Donations

MOPAR CAP colleges not only receive the latest vehicle and component donations to support MOPAR CAP at their college, they also receive electronic service information, diagnostic scan tools, corporate instructor guides and student reference information (same as used to train current dealership technicians).

In addition, MOPAR CAP instructors are kept up-to-date on the latest technology and procedures through ongoing FCA US LLC technical training and instructor certification processes. The excellent in-depth training offered by the program prepares graduates for a bright career and future in the automotive service industry.

This level of MOPAR CAP support is reviewed annually to ensure that each college has the most current model vehicles, technologies, components, special tools, instructor guides and updates, electronic service information and diagnostic equipment to enhance the overall learning experience for each MOPAR CAP student. Most of the tools used by MOPAR CAP students are the same tools used in their sponsoring dealerships.

The Result: MOPAR CAP represents a considerable investment by FCA US LLC and the end product is MOPAR CAP graduates who have received the most extensive training from the best colleges, with the best equipment and are in a position of fixing their customers’ Chrysler, Jeep®, Dodge and Ram vehicles the first time and every time!
